NORTH COUNTRY DANCE ACTIVITIES

Since 1986, RKB has enjoyed a vibrant and creative relationship with upstate New York. The Company tours, teaches and performs in many towns and hamlets of the Northern Adirondack region. Visit the Tahawus Center, and its Cloudsplitter Dance Studio, in Au Sable Forks, where it has made its second home. Activities have included:

• ONSTAGE Performance Program, a 2-week annual dance intensive, at Lake Placid for more than 30 years! Usually July
• Public performances at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts (LPCA), Tannery Pond Arts Center, North Creek, the Strand in Plattsburgh, in Watertown, and under a tent in Ticonderoga
• Gentle Ballet Barre classes for Adults at Cloudsplitter Studio, summer
• Masterclasses including: porte de bras and jump classes for Olympic
  athletes training in Lake Placid,
• Choreography Workshop for Guibord's North Country School of Ballet, Plattsburgh, usually June.
  
• Workshop intensives in classical ballet variations, usually in spring
• Providing RKB guest artists appearances and choreography for the North Country Ballet Ensemble in their annual "Nutcracker Ballet" performances
  in Plattsbugh and Lake Placid
• Adult Swing Dance workshops and a variety of dance classes in Tahawus Center in Au Sable Forks
• Private instruction at Cloudsplitter Dance Studio for intermed/ adv dancers
• Kids Co-Motion - early childhood classes for ages walking to 4 years.
• Setting new choreography or staging repertory ( videos of youth dancers)
  

RKB has touched the lives of thousands from the counties of Franklin, Clinton, Essex, Warren, and St. Lawrence. Many of Rebecca Kelly's environmentally themed ballets have been recorded by MountainLake PBS-TV.

Other unique activities have included an Intimate choreography "salon" in a private Adirondack camp, a swing dance workshop on the Jay Green, and vibrant music and art collaborations with local artists.
