	WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT? A choreographer's inspiration and developmental approach results in an integrated, and dynamic dance program for every age - in downtown SoHo. The serious study of classical ballet begins between 8-12 years old, when some studentsbegin to be physically and mentally ready for the discipline, strenuous work, as well as the math of ballet. The age at which classical instruction begins is not as important as making a good start with a good teacher, and being able to concentrate on the activities. Only regular participation, persistence, along with much repetition and practice make a dancer, but there are many additional benefits to the study of dance that produce good habits for life. The SoHo afternoon program supplies increasing formalbeginning to intermediate training in modern dance, ballet and performance.Offered in twice, or three-times per week semesters *Class offerings respond to neighborhood demand, so the offerings do fluctuate.
	CONTEMPORARY BALLET - After-school classes, ages 12-17 years Intermed-Adv: Mon 4:15-5:45pm, Tues 4:15-5:45pm, Wed 4-5:30pm Intermediate level ballet AND modern dance basics. Disciplined, dynamic Classical technique, and modern choreography. Small, productive classes - Serious fun!. Enter in mid Sept or Jan. Attend 2 or 3 times weekly. 2 or 3 classes/ per wk strongly recommended at this stage REGISTRATION FORM OPEN STUDIO held at last class/ Mid-May. Families, Friends and prospective students are welcome to watch. RSVP by email or phone. Usually 6-7pm on Tues or Wed. Note: SoHo Studio is 4th Fl walk up. Good for the heart!
	PRIVATE LESSONS (50-90 min) intermediate, advanced students age 11+, available by appointment. Arrange for audition prep or photograph session, ongoing series of lessons, trouble-shooting, catch up, confidence. (Usually pm/ or weekends)
	BALLET FOR THE SOCCER BOYS Pre-registration only. Email us. Wed, 5:30-6:30pm, winter only. Ages 10-13 years Introduction to ballet for motivated boys who want to cross-train - or just to discover what ballet is like. Focused, vocabulary-building fun. Leotards/ tights/ on sale at Soho Studio Boys*: Close-fitting whiteT-shirt, or Tank top, black shorts or bike pants. White socks, white or black ballet slippers.
